Asia Pacific Leaders Scholarship
The Asia Pacific Leaders Scholarship (APLS) is a highly competitive scholarship that provides full tuition fees and a living allowance for three years of study at the University of Auckland. It’s open to students from any country in the Asia-Pacific region who are planning to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Auckland.
Applications for the APLS close on 1 October each year, and successful applicants will be notified in December.

This scholarship is worth up to NZ $10,000 per year for three years and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fees.
Fulbright New Zealand
The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries. Up to 20 scholarships are awarded annually to American students to study at universities in New Zealand for one academic year.
MasterCard Foundation Graduate Scholar Programme
The MasterCard Foundation Graduate Scholar Programme is one of the top international scholarships in New Zealand. It provides full funding for a student’s tuition, living expenses, and travel costs for up to two years of study at a participating university. This scholarship is open to students from Sub-Saharan Africa who have demonstrated financial need and leadership potential. To date, the programme has supported over 1,700 scholars from 39 countries.
Victoria University of Wellington International Undergraduate Scholarship
